Emergency Repairs
Emergency repairs are rapid-response housing stabilization.
What it is
How the program works.
The Emergency Repairs Program (HEART) provides time-sensitive, focused, and specific repairs that address immediate health and safety risks.
Addressing the issue before it becomes a crisis.
Emergency repairs are often smaller in scope than full owner-occupied repair projects, but they can prevent a home from spiraling into a much larger crisis. A repair that costs $1,000 to $7,000 today may prevent a much more expensive and destabilizing project later.
Stabilizing homes, stabilizing lives.
A broken furnace, sewer backup, unsafe electrical condition, or active leak can quickly become a health emergency, code issue, or displacement risk. HEART allows RTP to intervene quickly and keep the household stable.
